Night Portrait

Night Portrait. Last night I was out looking for scenes that I may use for my photo essay assignment for the last day of my advanced photography class. Instead, I ended up shooting night scenes and portraits. This is a portrait of my best friend shot at the Bay Area of SM Mall of Asia, one of the few people, so far who willingly poses for me in any situation, without hesitation (hehe). We were supposed to shoot nearer to the bay but to our disappointment it was raining. After a few shots we left and went to buy some stuff for my still life assignment on fish. I'm still working on that, but as soon as I get a good shot I'll be posting it here.

I think it is a very well done nocturne portrait.
Tell the model she looked great :)

Excellent portrait, if night shooting is your thing you should look into a lens more designed for Night photography.

Personally I use the the 58mm Noct-Nikkor which is for Nikon cameras. Its an excellent lens for the type of pictures your trying to take.

I've always wanted to take some photography classes. Is photography your major in college? I'd love to know more about which classes are worth it and which are too basic. Me I've just learned everything by shooting and shooting and shooting for like 10 years.

hi guys thanks for visiting. I just got back, ill be updating in a few days time. just been busy with some stuff.

hi paul, i just took a seminar, more of like a short 5 week course. Unfortunately here in the Phils., photography as a course in college is not popularly being offered yet. you've been shooting for quite a while so i guess you should focus more on advanced photography like studio portraiture, etc. and skip all the introduction to photography courses. I hope it helped
